CELEBRATING 30 YEARS!
Dear Valued Customers,
As TJ Hardware celebrates its thirtieth year in business with our largest catalog to date, I'd like to share with you why I'm proud to be part of this amazing business built around Family, quality products, and customer service.
As a salesperson for the largest woodworking products distributer in New Mexico, my Grandfather, Tony Prando, an experienced woodworker himself, noticed that the corporate business model was moving toward lower quality, standardization of products, and lack of personal customer service. Tony knew that he could do better.
TJ Hardware started out as a small pickup truck filled with high quality woodworking staples like wood glue, router bits, wood screws and various abrasives that my Grandfather would sell shop to shop throughout New Mexico until my grandparents were able to move the products stacked in their home into an actual storefront. Their children, who were also woodworkers, were then brought on to run the sales counter and to travel with the sales truck to other territories like Southern Colorado and West Texas.
The next step was to create a mail order catalog giving TJ Hardware a national presence that would enable us to deliver quality woodworking products as far away as Maine and Hawaii.
Other local hardware companies have come and gone, national corporations have tried and failed, but through good times and bad TJ Hardware is still going strong, thirty years later, here in the great city of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Consisting of three generations of Prandos, TJ Hardware continues to deliver quality products and amazing, personal customer service with our main interest being the success of your woodworking business.
Call TJ Hardware today and your call will be answered by me or one of my family members, not an automated answering machine, and experience how much a small family owned and operated business can do for you!
Hope to hear from you soon, and welcome to the family. Here's to thirty more years.
